Interested in adding a personal touch to your favorite classic sneakers? Become a student to the game and enroll in our design studio! Take on the opportunity to customize a personalized pair of sneakers ranging from a selection of various tools.
In our Design Studio, you’ll customize a pair of sneakers of your choice. Please Bring in a white sneaker, leather or canvas based, and we will provide the rest!
Please note, you DO NOT need a new pair of kicks for this class, yet it is suggested for the best outcomes!
Bring your own sneaker
Avoid sneakers that are not made of leather or canvas, they have limited customization options. Leather or canvas provides the most flexibility for basic skills that will be covered in the 2-3 hours we will be designing.
At Sneakerhead U, we encourage bold, and eccentric designs. There are no wrong answers when it comes to what YOU envision as the best sneaker.
Want a specific look?
Feel free to bring in any additional materials such as fabrics, gems, or screenshots of ideas you have in mind if theres a specific look you are trying to achieve. Most importantly, do not forget to bring your white sneaker!
No idea? No problem!
In the class, you’ll begin brainstorming on a classic blueprint, and collaborate with the instructor and those around you. Follow up with customizing your sneaker based on the patterns, colors, and designs that inspire you.
Learn the basics of custom sneaker-designing. In the class, we will explore the full creative process of designing custom sneakers, from exploring colorways, to cutting and bonding fabrics, to lasting and bold final designs.
Our design package includes paint, laces, fabrics, iron on patches, jewels, glitter, zip tie tags, stencils, and more!
Luxury Lacing
Our base package comes with the selection of flat laces, but if seeking a specific look such as rope, satin, leather or Off-White style laces, we have that available. If you choose to upgrade to our luxury laces, we will teach the basics of drilling, sizing, sealing, and installing them, as a nice finishing touch to your newly customized kicks!
Luxury Fabrics
Every shoe is created using complex measurements that must be properly prepped, traced, manipulated, and finished in a specific way. In the class, we will explore using patterns as a blueprint for designing, prepping, and cutting every custom component of the sneaker. If chosen, you can upgrade your sneaker by selecting a fabric from our luxury wall. These are quality prints inspired by your favorite fashion brands and designers.
Follow along as we explain all major tools and techniques you need to cut, bond, and manipulate the wide variety of materials that add flavor to a custom. Intricate prints are no hassle with our tools, anything is possible!
